Home Nightclub
A hidden nightclub, reimagined for every mood — powered by HYRISS and L-Acoustics, with immersive sound and lighting that transforms at a touch.
This project was delivered for one of our existing Aftercare clients — a family we’ve worked closely with since 2018.
As part of large-scale renovations to their home, we were asked to design a solution to upgrade the existing nightclub. During early discussions with the client and project team, it became clear that the space would need to serve multiple functions. Flexibility was essential, but the quality of the audio system remained the top priority.

At the time of design in 2023, HYRISS by L-Acoustics had not yet officially launched — but we recognised immediately that it was the right solution. L-Acoustics is globally regarded as a benchmark in live event sound. The opportunity (and challenge) was in bringing that same level of performance into a private residential setting.
The flexibility of HYRISS allowed us to specify multiple loudspeaker and subwoofer positions throughout the room, with the ability to recall pre-set ‘scenes’ based on how the space was being used — from intimate dinner parties to full-scale parties. We integrated this system with the Crestron control platform, giving the client intuitive access via in-wall touchscreens and iPads.
Using HYRISS also enabled us to deliver a hyper-immersive audio environment — spatial sound could move across the room, adapt to the content, and fully surround the listener. It delivered something far beyond a traditional speaker system — a true nightclub experience, in every sense.
We partnered with Hotdog Productions and Light Electric to complete the space, including lighting design and special effects such as lasers and hazers. Light Electric’s system — the first of its kind — detects the genre and rhythm of the music and automatically adjusts lighting scenes in real-time.
This was the first HYRISS solution delivered in a residential environment anywhere in the world — designed, installed, and commissioned entirely by our team. The outcome was made possible by true collaboration across every party involved, including interior designers, architects, and construction consultants.
